With a mile range varying between 25 – 35 miles, you can comfortably explore any terrain, including gravel, grass, pavements, and bumpy roads. This is a class 3 vehicle that has to be taxed (for free), and used at 4 mph on the pavement, or up to 8m mph on the road.
The maximum speed of the mobility scooter is 8 mph. It can travel up to 56 km (35 miles) on a single charge. The turning radius of the scooter is 63.3″ (161 cm), and it has a ground clearance of 5.1″ (13 cm). The scooter is powered by two 12V/90Ah batteries, which can be charged using a 24V/8Ah charger. The maximum user weight for the scooter is 160 kg (25 stone).
The scooter is available in a variety of colours, including Shiraz Red, Gun Metal Grey, Emerald Green, Lightning Blue, Midnight Black, Dark Storm*, and Rapid Ocean* (Limited Edition Colors).
We’ve supplied the Van Os Excel range of scooters from our Bromakin showroom facility since 2009, and are happy with their build-quality and after-sales service for technical advice and spare parts. The Galaxy2 model is commonly supplied with a rain canopy system, as a leased product on the Motability scheme for approximately £35 p/w. The canopy can be purchased as a separate item from us at Bromakin and fitted in our workshop for approximately £800, or a price of £3550 for a package supplied complete with the scooter. When supplied by Motability the scooter can be fitted as standard with solid tyres for peace of mind against getting punctures.
