The current version 4 of the Avantgarde is a traditionally designed folding wheelchair, but one that is very refined. Small touches such as the smooth topped castor mounts are a good feature. The DS model has a fixed front frame design, so the footrests are integrated instead of swing-away, achieving a low weight from 8.7kg and making it suitable for mounting a front power attachment to, or a Rehasense Trackwheel that would not fit well onto a folding chair with swing-away legrests. The DV model features removable legrests.
