The Ergo Lite 2 transit wheelchair has become the go-to choice for an ultra-lightweight wheelchair, weighing only 9.2kg in total. The physical strength required to lift it into a car boot is much less than the average transit wheelchair. By easily removing the legrests the weight reduces to 8.1kg.
The Ergo Lite 2 is not a configurable wheelchair, so for larger users this model is a compromise, that is still worth considering in combination with a thicker wedge-shaped cushion to accommodate the longer leg length. An alternative new option for 2023 is the Rehasense Icon35.
